The Red Lion Langthwaite is located within the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Locally there are opportunities for walking, cycling or horseriding in a beautiful landscape.
There are villages to visit with local museums, concerts, village shows and many local events during the late spring to autumn.
Also exploring the remains of the Leadmining Industry in the landscape, Geology and Wild FLowers. A very good selection of Books and Maps are on sale in the bar covering all these topics.
The Swaledale Festival runs every year in late May for two weeks with a range of activities including classical concerts, talks, guided walks and much more. Many of these activities are based in and aound Langthwaite and Reeth (a couple of miles away).
Imposing Richmond Castle managed by English Heritage is not far away.
The market towns of Richmond and Leyburn are within easy reach.
